Stop rebuilding the same stacked layout 30 times an edit.

VertForge stacks clips, crops at an exact ½ or ⅓, stores your stacked looks, and lets you load them into future projects. No guides, no math, no fuss.

Mac and Windows · Adobe Premiere Pro 26.2+ · $20 founders price through Dec 31

How it works

Three things you'll stop doing by hand.

Cropping clips at the midpoint or into thirds. Rebuilding stacked layouts you've already built. Swapping framing between clips.

1

Exact Crop and Stack

One click crops a clip to a true 50% split or a real three-way third, computed from your sequence and the clip's real dimensions. Select one clip and hit Stack: VertForge duplicates it onto the tracks above and builds the 2-up or 3-up for you. The seam lands on the center line every time. No guides, no math.

2

Save and reuse layouts

Six look buttons cover single, double, and triple-clip stacks. Save a framing setup (position, scale, crop) once, then apply it to any clip in the edit instantly.

3

Swap

Flip framing between clips in one click, while keeping your framing consistent from one layout to the next

Where it fits

The easy part is the rough cut.
The last mile is craftsmanship.

AutoPod, Opus, and Auto Reframe get you nearly there. VertForge speeds up the last mile. The precise framing work that’s still done by hand.

VertForge handles

  • Exact ½ and ⅓ crops from real sequence dimensions
  • Stacked 2- and 3-clip layouts you dial in once and reapply in a click
  • Saved looks reapplied across every clip, every edit
  • Swaps and multicam angle writes UXP can't do

Your other tools handle

  • Finding the viral moments
  • Cutting silences & jump cuts
  • Rough auto-reframe to 9:16
  • Captions and polish
Requirements

Runs where you edit.

Works today

  • macOS 13 or later, or Windows 10 / 11
  • Premiere Pro 26.2 or later
  • Everything runs on your machine, so your footage never leaves it. Multicam angle switching needs the free, optional VQF Engine (Mac and Windows). Everything else works without it
  • Fully undoable. Writes normal Premiere Pro properties

Multicam switching, powered by the VQF Engine

Cut between angles and your stacked crops follow. VertForge's optional local engine writes multicam angle changes the standard extension layer can't reach, so your layout and your angle switching stay in sync. Free, Mac and Windows, and only needed for multicam: everything else in VertForge works without it.

About the VQF Engine
FAQ

Fair questions.

How much does it cost?

$20, and that founders price holds through December 31, 2026. No subscription for founders pricing. You try it free for 7 days first, no card, and after you buy there is a 14-day refund policy, no questions asked. Buy your license here.

What happens when the trial ends?

The panel asks for a license. If VertForge earned a spot in your workflow that week, it's $20 and it's yours for good. If it didn't, uninstall and we part friends. If you signed up during the beta, your existing license is honored, along with founder pricing.

Does it work with multicam sequences?

Yes. This is VertForge's signature trick. Its local engine writes multicam angle changes that the standard Premiere Pro extension layer can't reliably reach, so your vertical stack and your angle switching stay in sync. The engine is free, optional, and runs on Mac and Windows. It's the only feature that needs it.

Does it change my footage?

No. VertForge writes ordinary Premiere Pro properties (crop, position, scale) that you can adjust or undo like anything else in your timeline. Nothing is baked in, and nothing touches your media files.

How is this different from Auto Reframe?

Auto Reframe guesses where the subject is and often needs hand-keyframing afterward. VertForge doesn't guess - it computes exact crops from your real sequence and clip dimensions, and you keep full creative control of the framing.

Is there a Windows version?

Yes. VertForge runs on Mac (macOS 13+) and Windows (10 or 11) with Premiere Pro 26.2+. Same download, same license. Only multicam angle switching needs the free, optional VQF Engine, which runs on both.

Who makes this?

I'm Sam, a working editor. I've cut content for Universal Orlando Resort, produced and edited series for Snap, done motion graphics for Hulu, and once cut an interview with Steven Spielberg. After rebuilding the same two-speaker stack for the hundredth time I built the tool I wanted. VertForge is actively developed; the latest build added a one-click Stack button and reads clip sizes straight from Premiere Pro, so nothing is guessed. Questions or feedback go straight to me.
